Andy Nisley
Andy Nisley, owner of Eagles Nest Mountain Construction, Inc., was born in Ohio. His father was a Mennonite preacher and a farmer. Andy grew up on that Ohio farm and learned a tremendous work ethic in the process.
In 1967, Andy moved to Florida where he put together a framing crew. For five years, he framed houses as a subcontractor for local builders. Then, in 1972, he built his first house from start to finish and his career choice was clear. Since that time, Andy’s companies have built over 2,000 homes. His high sense of ethics, plus attention to quality and detail, has resulted in a true success story.
Andy combines quality with an astute ability to buy materials at the lowest possible price, resulting in the best possible buy for his customers. Many of Andy’s customers have built with him multiple times and his best advertising is “word of mouth” from his customers.
In 2003, Sherell Johnson asked Andy to spend some time in North Carolina to help Sherell with his booming log home construction in the Smoky Mountain Retreat. Struck by the challenge of a new adventure and looking for a change, Andy moved to the mountains of North Carolina and formed his new company, Eagles Nest Mountain Construction, Inc.
Today, Andy has earned a reputation as one of the mountain’s best log home builders. He maintains an office complex in Maggie Valley, where you can make all your selections for customizing your own log home in his design center. His wife, Sue, does an excellent job guiding customers through the selection process, as she did for years in Florida.
